Temple Israel, located in Vestal, New York, is a modern, conservative synagogue founded in 1886 and is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Temple Israel provides a complete range of religious, educational, spiritual and pastoral services dedicated to the principle that our people's survival and our personal satisfaction depend upon a living heritage that is loyal to the past and relevant to the present.
Temple Israel offers weeknight services when they are requested by congregants for yartzeits or other occasions.

SIMCHAH SHABBAT
9:30am: Join us once a month for our simchah shabbat. We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with an lavish kiddush lunch, prayers and song. Students from Binghamton University Hillel join us to read Torah.
PRAY AND PLAY FAMILY SHABBAT
At 10:30am: Young Families join us for Pray and Play in the Childrens Library. Children 5 years and older can join Junior Congregation in the Small Chapel.

Young Family Programing
Pray and Play meets in the Temple Israel library, and includes songs, dance, stories, and kiddush luncheon with the congregation. Please join us at 10:30am to march with the Torah in the main Sanctuary. After making the rounds, we meet in the library for some praying and playing.

SHABBAT TRAVELS TO OUR ELDERLY
Once a month, Temple Israel takes our Kabbalat Shabbat Service on the road. Our members gather in nursing homes to share kabbalat shabbat with our elders who can't travel to us.
